Community guidelines

Your journal is yours. These rules are about the shared spaces: anything you post where other people can see it.

Stash is for the food you love and the places worth remembering. Community spaces open up gradually, and wherever you can post to other people, these guidelines apply. Keep them in mind and this stays a place people are glad to be in.

The short version

What is not allowed in community spaces

How we enforce this

You can report and block from inside the app, or from our report page if you are not using the app. We review every report, usually within a couple of days. Content that breaks these rules comes down.

When we act on a report:

We match the response to what happened. A first, minor slip usually means we hide the content and explain why. Repeated or serious violations can lead to a warning, a pause on posting to community spaces, and eventually a ban from those spaces. The most serious cases, like content that endangers a child or a credible threat, mean immediate action without a warning ladder.

If you are going through something hard and it shows up in what you post, we respond with support and resources first, not punishment.

If we get it wrong

We are not perfect. If we removed something of yours or acted on your account and you think that was a mistake, you can appeal. Every removal and enforcement message carries an appeal link. An appeal is reviewed by someone other than the person who made the first call, and we get back to you either way. If we agree we got it wrong, we restore your content and clear the mark from your record.
