Statement
Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to read and use this website.
What this site is
This is the Stash companion website: text pages such as the privacy policy, terms, support, account deletion, and a few simple forms for requests and reports. It is built as static pages with no tracking and no pop-ups, which keeps it light and predictable to navigate.
The standard we aim for
We are working toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. We treat that as the bar, and we have not yet completed a formal audit against it, so this is a statement of intent and current practice, not a certified conformance claim.
What we have done
- Semantic headings and landmarks, and a "skip to content" link at the top of every page.
- Body text that reflows and stays readable when you zoom or use a narrow screen, with no fixed-width layouts that force sideways scrolling.
- Visible keyboard focus on links, buttons, and form fields, and a logical tab order.
- Color contrast checked against WCAG AA: the secondary and muted text colors were deliberately darkened from the app's raw values so small text clears the 4.5 to 1 ratio on every background it appears on.
- Form fields with real labels, and status messages announced to assistive technology.
- Forms that still work without JavaScript: every request form offers an email path that does the same thing.
Known gaps
- We have not completed a full audit or tested with the whole range of screen readers and assistive tools, so some issues may remain.
- The site uses a single light color theme by design and does not offer a dark mode. Your browser or operating system high-contrast settings still apply.
- The live status page needs JavaScript for its automatic checks; without it, the page explains this and links the raw endpoint instead.
